This version of the famous WW1 patch was produced for wear by members of the Australian Federation Guard who were involved with the burial of Private Alan James Maher, 33rd Battalion, who was laid to rest at Prowse Point Military Cemetery on the Ypres Salient in Belgium on 23 July 2010.Private Maher was killed in action on 8 June 1917 – and had lain in an unknown grave until recently.
